breathing room

it's great to finally be able to take a breather!
i submitted my final assignment for this semester today, and boy am i glad to be done with all the deadlines!

i'm taking a break today, having had a disastrous past three days totally slogging it out in school, and am declaring a no-work day just for me.
tomorrow i will watch a movie, and pretend to be a normal young adult with a life.
because that's what i am, i hope!

i'll be watching my sister's keeper tomorrow.
in some ways it reminds me of you because we both read it before. but then again, so will time traveller's wife and new moon and all those chick lit/trashy novels we used to read to while away the holidays.
i don't really know if you think of it, when you're watching those movies.

anyhow, i thought of what i might like to do next year...like you know, as a grad trip??
my friends and i were thinking of taking a road trip across the US, possibly starting out at the East Coast, and ending at the West. drive across a couple of states?
we were also thinking of working and living in the US for a couple of months. they have these (completely legit) "work and travel in the US in the summer" kinda programmes, and they market it to foreigners as a way to sell the country/ like an alternative form of tourism, targeted at younger adults/kids with no cash (i.e. me/us)
sounds good right? whaddya think?

so the jobs range from menial and really slack stuff like working in an amusement park (which will prob be mad fun!) to internships at stuffy offices (eeww....i mean, why would i want to plant myself in an office on a holiday?!)
and besides, it'll be good for our resumes if we get through.
and, it will be a fun way to have an experience living abroad for around 2 to 3 months, away from this stuffy and overcrowded little island.

my future employers in sg are also quite willing to let me start work late (if i get their position that is)...prob around early august. so it kinda all works out?

i can feel the butterflies in tummy flutter at the thought of all this already!!
eggggciting times AHEAD!

:)
