- The difference between US (Obama's) foreign policy and nuclear containment towards NKorea and Iran
notice i mentioned AREA - which means i've yet to come up with an argument. an argument is basically the entire core and gist of a thesis paper. right. and i know that in order to have an argument, i've actually got to find a problem with either 1/2/3. and in order to do that, i've got to know about the country(ies) in question. which means i have to start on preliminary research. which means i have to get my ass down to the library. like ASAP. because my proposal is due 17th (or was it 15th?) august.
i did start on it a little today! on wikipedia (hahaha....the best starting point for research, but something you'd rather leave out on your bibliography)...i typed in IRAN and started reading up on its past, the Islamic Revolution and so on. i also watched a documentary this afternoon on BBC (i think?) called "Iran - the Hundred Years War"...I count that as research :)
i also plan to learn farsi/arabic/korean - one of those freaky CIA-friendly languages hehehe. this is all part of my life plan. i kid you not :)
i wish i had less heavy, serious and life-altering choices to make. i wish they could be more everyday choices; like where to eat, what to wear, whom to love and when to sleep. i wish it sometimes didn't have to be this complicated.
sometimes the choices you make can really change your life course. it scared me to think of that before. but now that i've got no choice, sometimes the fear gives way to the thrill of the unknown. it scares me to have to do all this, but i know i've come this far, and i know i'm braver and stronger now, more than ever. and i know, i'm gonna get it right this time around.
